A Hampshire pastor filmed at the Portsmouth protest says "love thy neighbour" means "love thy near dweller", so people from 3,000 miles away do not count. Read Leviticus 19:33-34 and Deuteronomy 10:18-19: the foreigner living among you is exactly the neighbour those commands name. Redefining the word so asylum seekers fall outside it does not interpret the command. It rewrites it. Border control can be argued in good faith. This is not that argument. Tone rewrite only.
