The ruling

Judge Paul Engelmayer denied all ten grounds Maxwell raised and described the evidence supporting her conviction as overwhelming.

What remains

Her 2021 sex-trafficking conviction and 20-year sentence remain in force. The ruling did not reduce her sentence or order her release.

Why now

The motion relied partly on newly released Epstein-related material. The judge found it did not undermine the verdict and, in places, reinforced the case.
